So I spoke with Stik Braxton. We exchanged numbers, all is love. Admittedly, I'm closer to Mike than Stik. Probably because I spoke to Mike more often, and likely because he is a fellow MC/lyricist. But I spoke to Mike (since speaking to Stik and writing the 2 blog posts). I can say that though I disagreed with the review, I didn't say anything to burn the bridge between us in my review. And Mike saw this and somewhat applauded it.
There is a way of disagreeing without making it a thing of war.
Words hurt. And when used without discretion, they can injure deeply. They know I'm sensitive about my work, but they also hold me to a VERY high standard. Won't lie, I like that. I've made MANY projects since the inception of this podcast, and I've taken notes about what they do and don't like. I can see that they like they simple yet soulful approach, and they are turned off by the complex, rock star approach. I can use this to make my music better, or I can feel like they're hating and keep going left.
It all depends on the reaction to my 2024 music.
Which is all on The 0fficial Charles Hamilton website.
Peace to Stik and Mike.
Just keep on listenin'.
