Good mornin', Mama!

Even when I felt the most neglected, I put you first. May be a little rough, but it's always love.
Console Warrior pt. 2
The power of words.
Without revealing too much, SEGA has responded. Basically, our bond/love is deeper than business. They would be hurt if I went with Nintendo. They are very interested in my production, and would be interested in clearing whatever I sample. But they assured me that we have a BOND, and that I'm not just imagining things.
By request of SEGA, when I get into my new apartment, I'm going to be making a series on making beats. Untitled, as of right now. But it should be a fun little series. I'll figure out how to present it on a SEGA-level (read: worship). And I have to get over the jitters of niggas taking my style.
To be the head, you have to be ahead.
Baddie's Lament
Shortly after my previous post, I sent it to Baddie. She read it, and, long story short, took it personal. I had to reassure her that she is an ASSET to me, and not a liability. Though I wasn't talking about her in particular, she noted some things I said to her were vaguely mentioned in the post.
Baddie isn't in the business of breaking my heart. In fact, she's #closer.
Immune to the wrath, and key to the decision making.
She's a keeper. Truly. I wish I never broke her heart. And we're working on things.
Pressure makes diamonds. And breaks men. I gotta be a diamond again.
Speaking of which, VS Diamond is dropping a new video soon. I'll post it on here. I got love for her, but we probably should just admire each other from a distance. TOO hot.
Console Warrior
So the crossroads is here. Since DAY ONE, I've been an advocate for SEGA's success, both as a game manufacturer and as an alien race. Through Apple, I proved that SEGA is the alien race that we've been in contact with. Since then, SEGA has gone on to do MAJOR things in the entertainment business. Music, movies, games, etc.
But what about me? What about Hamilton?!
I was particularly hurt when Wiz Khalifa and Kid Cudi got the theme music to the Sonic movie. Intimately, they shared why. But that's not enough. I've been intimate with SEGA since as long as I can remember, but I shared EVERYTHING with them. Many "legends" wouldn't be here if it weren't for my input (pre-2008). For them to not even consider me in the mainstream is a HUGE slap in the face.
To contrast, I've been disrespectful towards Nintendo for as long as I've been in love with SEGA. And all Nintendo has EVER done was support me. Especially while on Interscope. I GRAPHICALLY disrespected the Nintendo connect I had. YET THEY STILL HAVE INTEREST IN ME!!! For me to NOT consider doing business with them would be a HUGE slap in the face.
When it comes down to VGM (video game music), SEGA and Nintendo are neck-and-neck. Still, the theme(s) for the Sonic movie went unheard, and the theme for the Super Mario movie ("Peaches") is considered for an Oscar. If I was anything like SEGA, I would've jumped ship A MINUTE AGO.
The Ladies of SEGA take turns breaking my heart. I hope they read this and feel it. Mary Nintendo is obliged to deal with John, so I can't have her. My heart has been torn between the two factions and their ladies, and that has taken it's toll on me. They feel all it takes is some pussy for me to submit. If I was any other nigga, they would've been CLAPPED for that. Now I don't trust any female. And I stay away from males due to insecurity.
The only males are trust are Jack Splash, George Massa and J Dilla. And they are at the same crossroads.
But Nintendo is offering something HUGE. SEGA is just offering pussy and weed. It hurts to even think about, man.
Loyalty can drive you to suicide. But where does suicide take you?

.com-ing myself
There's no real reason why I don't have a website, other than finances. If you remember, I launched one in 2019. It lasted for about 2 years. Server kept crashing, I wasn't getting paid for download, etc. Still, there needs to be a central location for all things Charles Hamilton.
Reggie (or @Kanye on Twitter) built an AWESOME webPAGE. Links to all essential stuff there. It's working. It's just not a .com. .coms are considered the official mark of having a website.
Beggars can't be chooses, nevertheless, and Reggie did it for free. Can't ask for too much more.
I also want to encourage young people's growth on the web. Social media is the cafeteria during lunch at high school. If you don't want to get caught up in it, but still want to voice your opinion, start/launch a blog. Find pictures of mind-bending art on DeviantArt. WikiPedia is your friend. Check the Online Archives for... whatever you can imagine.
The Internet is a VAST place. And I know my music brought you here, but there is more to search for other than music that isn't mine. Research Music Theory. Philosophy. History. Don't be bogged down by the bad news of today, nor the bad news of yesterday.
Make your own history.

I'm doing fine, thanks for asking.
As you know, I'm not a big fan of modern hip-hop. I think it all sounds the same, there's no soul, no originality, and it always ends in violence. Nevertheless, I found 3 MCs worth dealing with The Tapestries of Trap.
1-) Meek Mill. The first time I heard him was in 2011, in a halfway house in Cleveland. The whole joint was going crazy for him, while I just listened with an open mind. Not being a hater, I felt that his delivery was reminiscent of someone who is destined to die in the streets. But his lyrical content and versatility stood out. And he's stood the test of time. His battle with Drake was a good one (Drake had the better song, Meek had the better beat and dirt). He coexisted with 50 during a rough moment. Meek Mill is a solid figure in Modern Hip-Hop/Rap.
2-) Lil Baby. I would hear singles from him here and there, but his most recent album is dope. I notice that he is the most coherent out of all the new MCs. I can definitely understand what he's saying, versus struggling to understand autotune-laced mumbo jumbo. I only check for the music, so I don't really know about how he gets along with other MCs. But I know he gets a lot of praise. I am concerned about his lean habit. I know Lil Wayne made it look cool to bust rhymes with a styrofoam cup in your hand, but even he is seeing a decline in his momentum. I only wish the best for Lil Baby. (I know.)
3-) NBA Young Boy. My roommate in Long Island used to wear his stuff out. One day I was high and listening to him play YB. I was impressed, but i noted that I was high and was likely impressed by anything. So I gave it some time. I listened to a few freestyles and some songs... dude is dope. He's actually singing from his soul. I can respect that. Don't know much about him, don't wanna Google him. But he gets a lot of love from me.
I haven't been in NYC for a long time, so I don't know what the underground scene is looking like. I'm not sure if Mental Supreme is still doing Training Camp. Sickabod Sane doesn't even make Hip-Hop anymore. End of the Weak has been pretty silent. Maybe my music will change the next time I'm in the city. Maybe Hip-Hop is all Electronic now (808s, synths, filtered samples). However it is to be viewed, the three mentioned above (I believe) can carry the torch for the next generation.
You three. In my office now!
Hold it down.

Labor
I spent today (9/1/23) DJing in the backyard at the house (649!). After 2 years, I only got one complaint. Granted it was today. They told me flat out to my face that they don't like my music. I told him I take offense, but he's entitled to his opinion. Later on, I asked him what he didn't like. He said he didn't hear it. I'm like wtf? That's what's going on? We form opinions based on... nothing? If it isn't Trap and 808s, I guess...
But sometimes, when things are unspeakable (whether good or bad), you just say you didn't hear it or understand it. That's dangerous, because in the real world, you have to have facts to clarify your opinion.
Granted, I know what I'm saying is unspeakable.
Whether good or bad.
That's all for now. I promised myself I'll blog more for those who read, so here we go and here we are.
Stay tuned!

A helping hand.
I notice that a lot of producers (StarChasers included) use trap drums because they can't find any "boom-bap" drums. Or they don't like the drums made available.
Here's to hoping that by dropping my custom kit, there will be some changes in music. Specifically the underground.
Have a blast.
