New sound, new style, still the same loser.

Impact (brace yourself!)

So. I listened to... rather, I am listening to "Showtime w/ Apollo". It was recently reviewed by The StarChaser Central Podcast (Stik and Mike). I agree with the Robotnik rating, but for a different reason. Sonically, this tape is VERY intentional. I remember it well. I was living with VS Diamond, making MUCH different music WITH her than what I was making on my own. I was rebelling against the SOUND she was conforming to.

I am somewhat leaning on products such as stem separation and AI to (somewhat) root out particular sounds and nuances. At least the knowledge of such. The quality may SOUND degraded, but high-end plugins are in use for this project ("Showtime w/...").

I agree with the Robotnik rating, because I was very in-my-head with this tape. Being able to explain symbolism is a difficult things. So my best bet is to FURTHER process my goal with each song before just jamming on any beat. Not to say Apollo Brown makes just "any" beat.

Since Diamond's in the back of my head, I'd like to go on record and say I would love to hear her on more boom bap, Apollo Brown -type beats. Her content is worth it. She's a G. And I definitely have the sauce to take her places musically. But I wish her well in all that she does.

So far, the donations have gone to drum packs, patch/AUX cords, new headphones, new speaker, of course mp3s, as well as food for everyday. I thank you. I will have enough to pay rent this month, and my benefits are set to kick in next month. Let's just give it to God, y'all...

The wifi is out in my building. Should be back by next week.

Love.
